Hi,

I'm Ron, born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I studied photography in The Netherlands followed by a degree in Graphic Management.

Before moving to Scotland in 2007 my career was predominantly in Pre-Press and Graphic Design. Besides mainly working for international organisations I frequently worked with various artists including those who studied at The Rijksakademie Voor Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam (The Art College in The Netherlands) assisting with the technical aspects of Print and Lithography. This allowed me to further my creative/artistic side.

In 2015 I decided to make photography my full time job again and opened The Shed Gallery in Kinloch Rannoch in Scotland. My main subject was landscapes (we lived in a stunning part of Scotland) but I especially enjoyed looking for that picture that depicts “What people do to and in their environment”.

In 2018 we moved to Suffolk and photography has sadly returned to the sideline. I still work on different projects from time to time, commercially and creatively for my own enjoyment. Hopefully we will return to Scotland again where photography will be my main pastime again.
